Media pundit Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after stumbling upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first starring role on television. Coleman Domingo is going to be my favorite actor. He can really make a compelling story out of reading the phone book. And this is about as compelling as The Madness right now. The dialogue is almost embarrassingly bad. It tries hard to be punchy and snappy, but it comes across as very predictable and trite. From the very beginning, there is a lot about the story that defies the most basic common sense. I’m constantly asking myself, “Why, why, why?!” So much so that after episode 2, I skipped episode 7 just to see what happens at the end. I have little doubt that the episodes I skipped contain little more than a lot of over-the-top storytelling and redundant dialogue.
